The grand opening of Kikara Newton on November 6th was a grand success! If you missed it, you can still join us on November 13th for Kikara White Rock's Grand Opening.

The grand opening of Kikara Newton was a grand success! Everybody had lots of fun meeting their fellow students, getting their faces painted and playing with the balloon animals Cupcake the clown made! There was lots and lots of food, which people nibbled on while watching our instructors do extremely exciting demos. Sensei Letitia Wong showed how a hair ornament can be very handy in self-defence, and Sensei Arash Dordar broke a bottle off Program Director Simon Breuker's head... while Simon was standing on a chair! Sensei Oneal Mendoza also demonstrated his extreme vertical by jumping and kicking a target held above his head... and then turning a complete back flip!

Newly elected Surrey-Panorama Ridge MLA Jagrup Brar did the honours at the ribbon cutting, and then made a short speech about the difference sports has made in his life. Surrey City Councilors Dianne Watts and Gary Tymoschuk also had comments about how exciting it is to see small businesses grow in Surrey, and Surrey School Board Trustee Heather Stilwell said she was happy to see another activity which would encourage kids to get fit and get active.

It's not too late to help us celebrate! Kikara White Rock will hold its grand opening ceremonies Saturday, November 13th with more action. Again, we'll have a clown and face painter, free food, and unbelievable martial arts demonstrations.

Please join us!
