Kikara Port Coquitlam Now Open

Kikara Port Coquitlam is already a hive of activity after our grand opening on Saturday, September 16th. We are very proud to open the doors to our gleaming new facility in Shaughnessy Square Mall.

The opening was marked with students of all ages showing off self-defence and kickboxing techniques from our Sport Kickboxing style. Our instructors kicked it up a notch by breaking some boards, demonstrating grappling techniques, and rounding it off with some high-flying acrobatics.

Sport Kickboxing Federation founder and Kikara Chairman Master Farhad Dordar felt inspired to break some boards too, despite being in dress pants and shoes! Kikara President Craig Faulkner said a few words about how proud we are to open up our sixth location in the Lower Mainland, and they both held the ribbon as Port Coquitlam Mayor Scott Young snipped through to declare Kikara Port Coquitlam officially open.

Then, being the good sport that he is, Mayor Young was the first person to learn how to throw a punch in our new location. Master Farhad showed him the proper technique. You'll be able to see it all in photos and video on www.Kikara.ca.

The community response has already been tremendous, and we are looking forward to becoming an integral part of the health and well-being of people in Port Coquitlam. Call today to book your own one-on-one introductory lesson.
